HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services is seeking a fellowship-trained Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join the dynamic team at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. Anesthesiology Cardiac

• MD or DO licensure from an accredited institution and ABA board eligibility/certification required.
• Fellowship training in Cardiac Anesthesiology from an ACGME‑accredited program required.
• Must be able to obtain an unrestricted medical license and DEA from the state of Virginia prior to employment.
• Care Team model of 4 CV Anesthesiologists, 9 General Anesthesiologists, and 29 CRNA’s.
• One location with 20 sites of service, including 3 dedicated cardiovascular OR’s and a hybrid OR for I/R and structural heart cases.
• Cardiovascular cases include open heart (450‑500 open hearts/year), TAVRs, WATCHMAN and Mitra Clips.
• General cases include Trauma (Level
  1), Vascular, EP, Thoracic, OB, Orthopedics, Urology, General, GYN, and GI.
• 1:4 cardiac call rotation (13 weeks of call/year).

• Virginia Department of Health Level I Trauma Center with 466 beds.
• We provide acute cardiac care in our specialized heart centers, electrophysiology laboratories and programs, including our:

• Cardiac alert program
• Comprehensive valve clinic
• Lung nodule clinic
• Rhythm and valve centers

• American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Certified Program.
• Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) Accreditation for:
• Echocardiography
• Vascular Testing
• Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI.
• American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation certified program.
• DNV Healthcare certified facility for use of ventricular assist devices (VAD).
