This on-site, contract position is based in Richmond and offers a unique chance to make a meaningful impact in the medical practice industry.
As a Locum MD/DO, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to expectant mothers and their unborn children. Your expertise will be crucial in managing high-risk pregnancies and ensuring the health and safety of both mother and child. This role will involve collaboration with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals and will allow you to contribute to the advancement of maternal fetal medicine practices.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive care for high-risk pregnancies
- Conduct prenatal assessments and ultrasounds
- Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare providers
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
- Educate patients on pregnancy health and fetal development
- Monitor and evaluate maternal and fetal health
- Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- MD or DO degree with a specialization in Maternal Fetal Medicine
- Associate-level experience in a clinical setting
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of maternal fetal medicine
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Current medical license to practice in the state
Flexible schedule
Setting:
Inpatient & outpatient
Level III Nursery
3 exam rooms and ultrasound onsite
Patient Volume: 27 per day
Patient Population: 95% high-risk, 5% low-risk
Support Staff: NP, RN clinic educator, sonographer, genetic counselor, front office team
EMR:
Epic, Viewpoint
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
