Invasive Cardiologist - Locum to Perm

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly qualified, Board-Certified Invasive Cardiologist to provide comprehensive cardiac care on a locum-to-permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide inpatient, outpatient, and call coverage, including participation in scheduled call rotations (typically 1:6). Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to invasive cardiology, including catheterizations, echocardiography, EKG interpretations, and other interventional procedures as required. Manage adult and geriatric patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. Supervise and collaborate with advanced practice providers (APPs), including responsible oversight of four APPs during clinical duties.

Document all patient encounters accurately within the EPIC electronic medical record system. Contribute to a team-oriented environment focused on high-quality patient care and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Board Certification in Cardiology, with specialization in invasive procedures. Valid medical license to practice in Virginia or eligible for Virginia licensure. Proven experience in invasive cardiology procedures, including EKG interpretation. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment. Credentialing process estimated at approximately 120 days. Schedule & Coverage Details:
Coverage needed as soon as possible until a full-time provider is onboarded. Clinical schedule:
Monday through Friday, with on-call responsibilities. Average patient volume: 10 outpatient clinic patients daily and approximately 12-15 inpatient admissions per day. Support during recruitment phase with locum coverage, after which a permanent position is available. Benefits & Opportunities:
