Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital is seeking a Night Float Anesthesiologist to join their group in Richmond, VA. The hospital performs over 27,000 outpatient and inpatient surgeries annually and is part of a community-based, not-for-profit health organization with a longstanding presence in the region. The anesthesia group consists of 25 physicians and over 70 CRNAs covering two high-acuity hospitals using a care team model that supports clinical excellence.
Practice Info
- Over 27,000 outpatient and inpatient surgeries performed each year at Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital
- Practice provides anesthesia services for over 44,000 cases a year
- Group consists of 25 physicians and over 70 CRNAs covering two hospitals in the Richmond area
- Both hospitals feature high levels of acuity
- Care team model focused on giving everyone a voice, supporting, respecting, and helping deliver care excellence
- General surgery, bariatric, cardiac, ENT, urology, vascular, orthopedic, OB, gynecologic, spine neurosurgery, healthy peds, and plastic surgery
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures
- Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent
- Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients
- Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and performing interventions as needed
- Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership
Compensation
- Salary: $540K
- Sign-on incentives: $100K

Shift & Schedule
- Schedule:
7pm to 7am Monday through Sunday - 24 week schedule
- 1on/1off
- 2 weeks of PTO
- Schedule:
No Call
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited institution
- Completion of Anesthesiology Residency
- Board Eligible or Board Certified
- Current medical licensure
- ECFMG/FLEX (if applicable)
