History Adjunct

Virginia's Community College System – Brightpoint Community College, Division of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. Position #290A9999.

Work location:

Chesterfield, VA 041.

Responsibilities
  • Provide primarily on-campus, traditional delivery at the Chesterfield and Midlothian campuses; limited opportunities for online instruction.
  • Taught courses include History of Western Civilization I & II, History of World Civilization I & II, and United States History I & II.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned, including assistance to the agency or state government during emergencies.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a master’s degree in History or a related field with 18 graduate semester hours of coursework in History.
  • Prior postsecondary teaching experience preferred.
  • Ability to use instructional technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Position Details

Full‑time or Part‑time adjunct faculty teaching, limited to a maximum of 8 credit hours in summer, 12 in fall, and 12 in spring semesters.
