Practical Nursing Adjunct Faculty; Part-Time

Virginia Western Community College is accepting applications for part-time, Adjunct Faculty for our Practical Nursing Program in the School of Health Professions. Adjunct faculty positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis as needed. Faculty are expected to maintain currency in their teaching disciplines and in trends in community college education.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• A current Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• A minimum of two years of related nursing occupational experience.
• The successful candidate will possess strong written and oral communication skills, up-to-date computer skills to support instructional activities, as well as the ability to work with students of varying abilities from diverse backgrounds.

Additional Considerations:

• Previous teaching experience in a Practical Nursing Program, or other nursing program, and experience using instructional technology are desired.
• Experience teaching in a college setting.
