• Running activities when teachers are absent, need breaks or work a part-time schedule.
• Assist in multiple classrooms to cover for teachers or serve as a permanent substitute for days or weeks depending on what is needed.
• Manage the classroom by teaching and playing age-appropriate developmental activities with the class.
• Teaching and assisting in the developmental growth of children.
• Must complete the 10-hour Virginia Preservice training.

• Love for children and ability to relate well with them, their families, and teachers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A positive attitude and work ethic – must be a team player.

• 6+ months of programmatic experience, working in a licensed and/or accredited child care facility.
• Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Child Development, or another child-related field.
• No scheduling restrictions between 6:45 am-6:15 pm.

We will train you and give you valuable industry experience. Daycare, nanny, summer camp, babysitting, Montessori, and Reggio-Emilio experience welcome!
