Department: Finance Insurance and Real Estate
The Department of Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate (FIRE) in the School of Business at Virginia Commonwealth University is recruiting a pool of adjunct faculty applicants on an ongoing basis. This pool will be accessed only when an opening arises.
Duties & Responsibilities:- Adjunct faculty will be responsible for teaching classes in the Department of Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Insurance or Real Estate or a closely related discipline at the time the appointment begins for Undergraduate Class Teaching
- Master's degree in Finance, Insurance or Real Estate or a closely related discipline at the time the appointment begins for Graduate Class Teaching
- 3+ years of experience in finance and/or a related industry
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as an employee at VCU.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in Finance, Insurance, or Real Estate or a closely related discipline at the time the appointment begins
- Prior teaching experience

Salary Range: $6,900 per 3 credits taught
