Position with The Noble Academy, Inc., a Christian-based education program serving children from 6 weeks to 12 years in North Chesterfield, VA.
Base Pay$13.00/hr - $16.00/hr

We are located on 1.5 acres at 5000 Ridgedale Parkway, North Chesterfield, VA, and accommodate up to 104 students. The caring team is committed to each child’s safety, fun, and education.
DutiesTeacher position requires 24 clock hours of training related to child care within one month after hire or promotion to be considered a Lead; for an assistant, 16 hours of annual training is required. The role is part-time during the school year and full‑time during the summer, available when children are out of school. If applying for part‑time, we need 4 hours a day Monday‑Friday, with flexibility for full‑time hours.
The teacher must manage all age groups, assist with cleaning, cooking, and child care tasks.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six months experience working with children of multiple age groups.
- Proof of a negative TB test.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid within 30 days.
- Medication Administration Training (MAT) Certification may be required.
- Complete and maintain required trainings.
- Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check, Virginia State Police background check, and Child Protective Services check.

- Uphold a professional work setting through character development, modeling compassion, integrity, regard, and accountability.
- Lead to expand community engagement through programs focusing on youth expansion and community accountability.
- Directly oversee the guidance, behavior management, and safety of assigned students with constant supervision.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and other required documentation.
- Plan, supply, and clean up for daily activities.
- Participate actively in organized games and activities with children.
Must have proven ability to work professionally with children, families, and staff. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills. Ensure safety and welfare of all children, supervise during activities, and uphold non‑punitive discipline methods. Maintain a balanced work environment and carry out day‑to‑day procedures, including emergency response plan testing. Able to lift 40 lbs. Other responsibilities as assigned.
CurriculumPlan, implement, document, and evaluate arts and crafts, group time, science, indoor/outdoor games, snack/lunch, rest periods, and lesson plans. Submit curriculum plans and supply requests on time. Develop and maintain professional relationships with teachers, co‑workers, families, and staff. Attend all staff meetings and functions. Assist with emergency response plan testing and professional development. Other duties as assigned.
Van Driver RequirementsThe position requires 24 clock hours of child‑care training within one month after hire or promotion for Lead status, or 16 hours for an assistant. Must have experience driving a 15‑passenger van with young children, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation. Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check, Child Protective Services Check, and Skin Tuberculosis test. Require 13 hours of online training upon hire before starting work.
