Mountain Gateway Community College (MGCC) is a two‑year public institution of higher education and one of 23 community colleges in Virginia. The college is supported by the Commonwealth of Virginia; the counties of Alleghany, Bath, Botetourt (northern portion) and Rockbridge; the cities of Buena Vista, Covington, and Lexington; and the town of Clifton Forge. • Teach Health 100 in accordance with the approved course syllabus and learning outcomes
• Prepare and deliver engaging lectures, discussions, and instructional activities
• Assess student learning through assignments, exams, and other evaluation methods
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and grades
• Provide timely feedback to students and support student success
• Hold office hours or provide availability for student consultation
• Comply with all College policies, procedures, and accreditation standards

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

• EMT certification and CPR Instructor Certified
• 2+ years of experience in EMS education or related field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff
• Strong organizational and time management skills

• 1-year teaching experience
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Ability to travel
• Operation of a State Vehicle No Supervises Employees No Required Travel
