Hiring Range:
Adjunct faculty are paid per credit hour based on rank and discipline. Rank derived from education and teaching experience.
Telework options subject to change. Bilingual or multilingual skill preference? Not required.
Work schedule varies with class schedules.
• Plan and teach Spanish courses in a classroom setting to students with diverse academic backgrounds.
• Provide student-centered learning and innovative e-learning experiences. Assist with Canvas and online platforms.
• May perform additional duties as assigned and support agency/state needs during emergencies.
QualificationsRequired:
- Master’s degree in Spanish or related field; or Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Spanish.
- Successful completion of the college’s pre-employment security screening.
Preferred:
- Community college teaching experience, face‑to‑face and online.
- Experience with Canvas.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Evidence of student-centered teaching and e-learning innovation.
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Part‑time adjunct appointment without state benefits.
- Salary commensurate with graduate education experience and full‑time equivalent teaching.
- No state vehicle operation, no supervisory responsibilities, no required travel.
