Robotics and Digital Solutions (RDS) Division of The Hillman Group is hiring a Part Time Field Service Technician for Richmond, VA. The role includes training on key duplicating kiosks (Minute Key), tag engraving kiosks (Quick Tag), and 3rd party service systems such as Eco-ATM and Pokémon.
Job SummaryTerritory includes 25
+ kiosks. This hourly position offers approximately 25 hours per week, with pay ranging from $20–$22 per hour based on experience, plus a car allowance, cell‑phone reimbursement, and a corporate gas card for business miles.
- Re‑stock and perform routine service on kiosks as needed (determined by demand at the machine or schedule).
- Perform on‑call repairs or adjustments when a machine goes out of order.
- Install new kiosks or swap newer kiosks/machines in the local area.
- Monitor machines daily for issues and contact stores to resolve connectivity or power issues.
- Track inventory for re‑stocking of machines in Kiosk Tech’s possession.
- Grow revenue in the territory by optimizing machine locations, uptime, product mix, and store relationships.
- Participate in safety and health program activities, reporting hazards, unsafe practices, incidents to supervisors, wearing required PPE, and supporting safety committee activities.

Education & Experience- High School Diploma or GED.
- Background in electromechanical repair and maintenance (preferred).
- Prior experience in retail merchandising, field operations, and customer service (preferred).
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar profile (preferred).
- Experience with tools and troubleshooting mechanical problems.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking). Technical jargon acceptable.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Represent Hillman professionally at all times.
- Availability to work weekends when required.
- Excellent driving record with valid driver’s license. Clean record mandatory; major violations disqualify.
- Reliable transportation with automobile insurance (mileage reimbursement).
- Reliable cell phone (reimbursed).
- Sales/Service environment varies by location/store. May be exposed to cramped quarters, dust, fumes, or odors.
- Daily travel required, up to 200 miles per day.
- Hand–eye coordination, functional vision and hearing required.
- Lifting up to 30 lbs., occasional pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.
