Job Title: Quality Process Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Quality Process Engineer who thrives on solving problems, driving process improvements, and preventing defects before they happen. This role requires someone deeply engaged with manufacturing operations, who works closely with engineers, operators, and leadership to sustain a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead initiatives to eliminate defects and non-conformances in existing processes and products.
  • Investigate issues through root cause analysis and implement corrective actions that stick.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand processes and drive sustainable improvements.
  • Lead activities for the successful introduction of new products and customers into production.
  • Conduct risk assessments (PFMEA) and develop robust control plans.
  • Implement, monitor, and sustain control measures over the life of the product.
  • Ensure documentation, record-keeping, and quality standards are maintained at all times.
  • Serve as a visible leader in promoting a culture of quality, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience applying quality systems and tools in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in PFMEA, root cause analysis, SPC, and other quality tools.
  • Proven track record of implementing and sustaining change to reduce or eliminate non-conformances.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across teams and organizational levels.
  • Experience in mid-sized manufacturing companies.
  • Background in metalworking, welding, or brazing environments.
  • Project management skills with a history of leading cross-functional initiatives.
