About the Role
We’re seeking a Facilities Engineer to support a large, complex manufacturing operation. This role is highly project-focused and ideal for a hands‑on Mechanical Engineer who enjoys wearing many hats across facilities operations, maintenance, and capital project execution. You’ll partner closely with facility technicians, contractors, and cross‑functional teams to ensure safe, efficient, and scalable facility operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute facilities engineering projects across a large-scale manufacturing environment.
- Support day-to-day facilities operations and facilities maintenance activities.
- Perform load studies, capacity analysis, and evaluations for facility infrastructure.
- Manage projects such as installing racking systems, office buildouts (e.g., new second‑floor expansion), and facility upgrades.
- Coordinate with third‑party installers, contractors, and vendors to ensure project quality, schedule, and compliance.
- Oversee and track progress across 40+ capital expenditure projects totaling over $20M.
- Collaborate closely with a team of eight facility technicians/maintenance personnel (no direct reports).
- Identify opportunities for facility improvements, safety enhancements, and energy efficiency.
- Ensure all facility systems and projects comply with regulatory and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline required.
- 2+ years of engineering experience within manufacturing, industrial environments, or fabrication settings.
- Strong understanding of facilities systems, maintenance processes, and plant operations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple capital projects in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience coordinating with contractors, vendors, and internal technical teams.
- Ability to perform load studies, capacity planning, and infrastructure assessments.
- Comfortable working in a hands‑on, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
