Job Description
Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III - Structure & Bridge Design candidate for our Richmond, VA office location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
- Perform routine and complex design of steel piles and steel connections.
- Perform routine and complex design of cast-in-place concrete slabs.
- Understanding of general renewable energy nomenclature.
- Assist with the development of scope, schedule and budgets for projects.
- Assist with the management of projects and tasks.
- Assist with marketing and proposal development.
Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required, Master’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years of structure and/or bridge design experience required.
- PE License is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in structural design software packages, specifically LPile, Mathcad, Excel.
- Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD for plan development.
- Proficiency with Excel/AutoCAD interoperability to create pile plot plans.
