JOB SUMMARY:
Conducts research, development, and/or performance testing activities for the Interfacial Performance group. Performs assigned projects under the direction or supervision of a senior R&D team member or leader and is often an entry level position.
ResponsibilitiesEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE MINIMUMS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry (or other relevant science field)
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
- 1‑3 years relevant working experience
For New Market or Afton employees, an appropriate combination of experiences that will support the required skill base may replace one or more of the specific experience requirements above.

- Basic computer literacy (i.e. Microsoft Office, Word, Excel)
- Basic MATLAB proficiency
- Sufficient knowledge of basic thermodynamics and organic chemistry
- Demonstrates understanding and application of safe lab practices and procedures
