This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands‑on investigations, problem‑solving, and working across diverse structural and building envelope projects.

The Role

You’ll conduct forensic investigations on residential, commercial, and industrial properties to determine the cause and origin of structural failures, construction defects, and building envelope damage. This position combines technical fieldwork, analytical reporting, and client interaction, ideal for engineers who enjoy applying their expertise beyond design work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform on‑site investigations to assess construction, design, and material failures.
  • Analyse structural performance and determine cause, origin, and extent of damage.

  • Prepare clear written and verbal reports outlining conclusions and recommended remediation.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and coordinate with multidisciplinary experts.
  • Provide technical support and expert insight during claims or legal proceedings.
About You
  • B.S. or higher in Civil Engineering.
  • P.E. licence (or E.I.T. with intent to obtain P.E. shortly).
  • 2–10+ years of relevant civil or structural experience.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in field investigations, project management, or forensic work preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and engineering design software.
  • Must be comfortable with field inspections, roof access, and confined spaces.
What’s Offered
  • Competitive base salary and annual performance bonus.
  • Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, and 401(k) match.
  • Professional development support and clear career advancement pathways.
  • Hybrid work model with up to 50% local/regional travel.
