Senior Advanced Test Engineer
As a Senior Advanced Test Engineer at Honeywell, you will lead and manage advanced test engineering activities to ensure the quality and reliability of our products. You will develop and implement innovative test strategies while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to define test requirements and specifications. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and work out of our Richmond, VA location on a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities- Control Systems Expertise
- Proficient in programming, applying, installing, and troubleshooting control systems
- Digital Communication Protocols
- Experience programming, diagnosing, and integrating multiple digital communication protocols, including BACnet MS/TP, BACnet IP, Lon Works, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, SNMP, and RS485
- Testing and Verification Skills
- Competence in testing and verifying instrumentation and control devices using tools such as oscilloscopes and signal generators
- Electrical and Electronic Troubleshooting
- Experience diagnosing and repairing various electrical and electronic issues related to building controllers, analog sensors, transformers, relays, and 24V AC/DC power supplies
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics
- Strong knowledge of test methodologies and tools
- Experience with data analysis tools and techniques to evaluate test results and drive improvements
- Test Automation experience
- Robot Framework experience
- Building Controls experience
- Niagara Framework experience
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to drive results and meet deadlines
- Continuous learning mindset and adaptability to changing priorities
