Senior Engineer – Waste & Recycling Division

📍 Richmond, VA - paid relocation available

💼 Full-Time | Civil or Environmental Engineering

Join a growing Waste & Recycling Division delivering high-impact solid waste, environmental, and site development projects. We’re looking for a Senior Engineer who can lead complex design work, manage multi-disciplinary teams, and mentor the next generation of engineers.

Lead planning, design, scheduling, and execution of solid waste site development projects (landfills, transfer stations, convenience sites).

Oversee master plans, design drawings, stormwater systems, erosion control, specifications, and cost estimates.

Prepare reports, studies, and permitting documents.

Direct internal teams of engineers, designers, and geologists, plus external specialty consultants.

Mentor junior staff across multiple offices and support their technical development.

Travel to project sites and client locations to evaluate conditions and monitor construction.

B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering and P.E. license in Virginia (reciprocity will be considered).

10–15 years of experience in solid waste or closely related civil / environmental projects.

Proficiency with AutoCAD and comfort leading large, complex engineering projects.

Strong communication skills and a passion for teaching, team leadership, and client interaction.

Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
