Position SummaryThe role of the Project Engineer is to execute and finalize engineering designs for residential, commercial and public land development projects. The Project Engineer should have experience in site/civil design, AutoCAD, Civil3D and other appropriate design software. The Project Engineer should work well in a team environment.
Job Responsibilities- Prepares plans, specifications, reports, permits, and designs for project.
- Prepares design computations and quantity estimates.
- Understanding permit requirements and processes.
- Coordinates with design team including staff from multiple locations and/or disciplines
- Coordinates with Clients and jurisdictions to obtain project approvals
- Assist in developing probable construction cost estimates for projects.
- Assists in preparing project budgets.
- Mentoring and training staff engineers or other entry level employees.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- BS degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
- 4+ years experience in Civil Engineering related to Land Development
- PE License preferred. Must be able to obtain within six months
- Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Proficient with other engineering software required in area of expertise
- May require the ability to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk and manipulate (carry, lift, move) light to medium weights of 10-30 pounds
- Ability to walk construction sites
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate technical equipment, read technical information and to analyze complex data.
- Occasional travel to offsite locations to perform work and work- related errands or to attend meetings may be required.
