Job DescriptionWe’re looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a well-established engineering consultancy with a long-standing reputation for delivering innovative K-12, commercial, and municipal building projects across Virginia. This role offers a great opportunity to take ownership of design projects from concept through commissioning while collaborating with multi‑disciplinary teams. You’ll play a key role in shaping building systems that strengthen local schools, workplaces, and communities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead complete electrical design phases — from concept, load calculations, and layout drawings to equipment selection.
- Prepare design documentation, specifications, and construction packages.
- Coordinate closely with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams.
- Ensure designs meet code requirements, budgets, and project schedules.
- Participate in client meetings to understand project scope and objectives.
- Provide technical support during construction, including RFIs, submittals, and site inspections.
- Support commissioning and quality control processes for final project delivery.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
- 8+ years of experience in building electrical design (K-12, commercial, municipal, or government projects).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- EIT license required (Virginia); PE license preferred.
- LEED Accreditation is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
