Responsibilities- Develop and maintain Quality Plans, Control Plans, and inspection checklists, while deriving Critical to Quality (CTQ) parameters and establishing Q-gates.
- Monitor and analyze First Pass Yield metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
- Proactively monitor customer complaints, conducting thorough analyses to determine root causes, and implementing corrective actions; coordinate with Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs) during customer audits, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and certification audits (UL, CSA, ISO), ensuring all requirements are met and issues are promptly addressed.
- Perform COPQ analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities, implementing initiatives that reduce defects, improve efficiency, and enhance overall profitability; mapping current manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvement through automation.
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical Engineering or related field PLUS minimum 5 years of experience.
- Proficient in quality tools like FMEA, 7 QC tools, 5S, 5
Why, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, SPC, DMAIC & 8D Root cause analysis. - Familiar with key industry standards such as UL1561, NEMA ST-20, IEEE C57.12.01, IEEE C57.12.91, DOE 2016, UL891, and CSA C22.2, which enhances compliance and product reliability.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
- Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
