Position DetailsPosition Name: Controller
Pay: $100,000 - $150,000 annually + 17.5% incentive bonus
Shift: Full-Time | Days
Qualifications- Required:
- Healthcare Accounting or Hospital Finance experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger reconciliation
- Proficiency in month-end close processes and internal controls
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with financial audits and regulatory compliance
- Preferred:
- Master's degree in Business Administration with Accounting or Finance focus
- 5+ years of accounting experience with 1-2 years supervising accountants
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Familiarity with Sarbanes‑Oxley 404 compliance and cost reporting
- Oversee accounting department operations and supervise Assistant Controller and accounting staff.
- Direct timely completion of month‑end close processes for the hospital and related entities.
- Reconcile and review general ledger accounts regularly, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
- Facilitate budget preparation, cost report work papers, and ad hoc financial analyses under CFO direction.
- Coordinate and prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
- Establish departmental productivity goals and monitor workflow to meet deadlines.
- Maintain sound internal controls and ensure Sarbanes‑Oxley 404 compliance documentation is complete.
- Ensure accuracy of balance sheet accounts with timely reconciliations and monthly attestations.
- Select, train, and evaluate accounting personnel to maintain high service quality and technical expertise.
- Foster open communication within department and between accounting and hospital leadership.
- Organize departmental functions and assign responsibilities aligned with organizational policies.
