Job DutiesThe Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as a Grant Compliance Assistant. The selected competitive candidate will provide exceptional delivery of services to the Director's Office.
Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Under the supervision of the Grant Compliance Manager, the Grant Compliance Assistant will provide administrative and operational support for grant management and compliance activities within Virginia’s Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP), a five-year, approximately $1 billion federally funded initiative to improve health outcomes in rural Virginia.
- This is a restricted position, which is solely funded by the investment of federal grant funds to transform Virginia’s rural health care landscape and improve health outcomes in rural Virginia. Which is a continuous revolving grant. The availability of funding is scheduled for review annually. Continued employment is contingent on the continued availability of funds.
- The business needs of the position have in-office requirements to include but are not limited to attending the in-person training and/ or meetings and collaboration with DMAS stakeholders.

- Experience providing administrative and operational support in a government environment.
