General
Job Summary:
New Horizon Bank is seeking a VP, Director of Treasury Management to lead and continue building the Bank’s Treasury Management function.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the infrastructure behind how New Horizon delivers treasury services to its commercial, institutional, and private banking clients. The Director will own the Bank’s Treasury Management policies, procedures, risk framework, product structure, implementation processes, pricing discipline, vendor relationships, audit and examination readiness, and day-to-day operating model.
This role is distinct from our relationship-focused Institutional & Private Banking function. The Director of Treasury Management will own the Treasury Management platform and framework
, while relationship leaders focus on acquiring, developing, and managing strategic client relationships.
We are looking for someone who can build structure without creating bureaucracy — a leader who understands risk and controls but also moves quickly, solves problems, and helps bankers deliver an excellent client experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Own the Treasury Management strategy, roadmap, operating model, and product suite.
- Partner with Commercial Banking, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Risk, and executive leadership to develop scalable capabilities and processes.
- Evaluate and implement new products, technologies, vendors, and capabilities based on client needs, risk, economics, and strategic value.
- Establish Treasury Management pricing standards, approval authorities, and relationship-pricing frameworks.
- Monitor product utilization, revenue, profitability, service quality, and client adoption; provide reporting to leadership.
- Own Treasury Management policies, procedures, controls, documentation, and governance.
- Lead Treasury Management responses to audits, regulatory examinations, compliance reviews, and risk assessments; ensure findings are remediated.
- Manage key vendor relationships and partner with Technology and Operations on implementations and enhancements.
- Own the implementation process from sale through activation, ensuring clear handoffs, strong controls, and a high-quality client experience.
- Partner with Commercial Bankers and Relationship Managers on complex opportunities, client discussions, sales tools, and banker training.
- Lead, develop, and scale the Treasury Management team while establishing clear accountability and service standards.
- Serve as the Bank’s subject-matter expert on Treasury Management products and services.
What This Role Owns
Relationship Ownership
The Director of Treasury Management will not own strategic institutional or private banking relationships. Primary relationship ownership for clients and strategic partners—including Clear Street, White Bay, hedge funds, fund managers, high-net-worth individuals, and other strategic relationships—will reside with the Institutional & Private Banking team
.
That team will own relationship development, deposits and broader banking opportunities, client coverage, and strategic partnerships.
