The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with more than 14,000 employees. It is responsible for safeguarding and preserving lives and property through prevention, protection, and preparation as well as the care, custody, and supervision of all adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws. ** Description of Work
** Salary Range - $37,782 - $66,120    Reporting directly to the Correctional Lieutenant II, this position will provide supervision for subordinate officers regarding their assigned tasks with male offenders in a minimum/medium custody state corrections facility. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Conducting shift line-up, making shift assignments and inspecting personnel to determine if they are physically and mentally capable of assuming an assigned post.
- Completing, reviewing, and maintaining time reports, duty rosters, leave schedules, performance evaluations and administrative forms.
- Accounting for persons and ensuring that all assigned equipment is operationally ready.
- Rotating and various duty assignments within the defined level of work.
