Surgical Technology Adjunct Faculty; Part-Time

Surgical Technology Adjunct Faculty (Part-Time) — Virginia Western Community College, part of Virginia's Community College System. This position provides classroom instruction in the Surgical Technology Program and is appointed on an as-needed, course-by-course, semester basis. Hours and days vary based on course offerings and enrollment.

• Provide classroom instruction in the Surgical Technology Program as part of the School of Health Professions.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned and may assist the agency or state government in the event of an emergency declaration.

• Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree from an accredited Surgical Technology Program.
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience within the past 5 years.
• Experience providing clinical instruction in an AAS Surgical Technology Program.
• Current CPR BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• All adjunct faculty positions require excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to work with students of varying abilities from diverse backgrounds.

• Bachelor's degree in Surgical Technology or a comparable field.
• Prior teaching experience in a Surgical Technology Program.
• Experience using technology in the classroom.
