Position OverviewThis PRN part‑time position requires 12‑hour shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays.

- Assist in completing patient assessment including vitals and documentation.
- Participate in planning and implementing care within scope of practice.
- Float to various urgent care centers as needed.
- Maintain clinical and administrative skills, collect specimens, run point‑of‑care lab tests.
- Keep work area clean and safe.
- Administer ordered medications, vaccines within scope and state guidelines.
- Document accurately in EMR and manage patient calls and inbox messages.
- Other duties: ordering supplies, lab and diagnostic tests, patient registration, scheduling, triage, cash handling, scribing.
- Additional duties may be assigned by supervisor with reasonable accommodation.
- Licensing/Certification: Active Medical Assisting certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NHA, NCRMA, NCMA, NCCT) required; or Assessment‑Based Recognition in Order Entry.
- BLS Basic Life Support preferred upon hire; required prior to independent patient care.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; post‑secondary education in Medical Assisting preferred.
- Work Experience: Externship or clinical lab training preferred; 1 year recent experience preferred. Medical terminology and office equipment use. Strong communication, teamwork, attention to detail, ability to multitask.
