Position: Associate Sales Representative I (Richmond, VA)

Job Summary

Associate Sales Representative I (Sports Medicine) based in Richmond, VA at Smith+Neuhew.

In this role you will serve as a product consultant for the Sports Medicine portfolio, specializing in soft tissue injury repair and degenerative conditions of the shoulder, knee, hip, and small joints.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in providing clinical case coverage in the operating room
  • Secure inventory for surgical cases and complete logistical requirements
  • Observe and consult the surgical team on Smith+Neuhew instrumentation and implants
  • Collaborate with sales representatives, orthopedic surgeons, hospital staff, administrators, and clinicians
  • Assimilate and learn detailed technical information related to surgery and procedures
  • Develop and execute an effective territory business plan to generate revenue and meet or exceed quota
  • Build positive relationships with surgeons, hospital staff, and coworkers to enhance customer access
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum two years sales experience in the medical device industry preferred
  • Preferred experience in the healthcare industry, specifically selling orthopedic products
  • Proven track record selling or converting business at the surgeon or hospital level
  • Experience leading or mentoring team members and new sales representatives
Travel Requirements

Within the designated sales territory with 2‑4 overnights per month. Infrequent national travel for events and conferences.

Credentialing

All field sales professionals required to gain entry into healthcare facilities must successfully complete the credentialing process and comply with facility requirements, including adherence to any established vaccine protocols.
