RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work on a 34-bed medical surgical unit (maximum capacity of 43 patients)

• Serve as designated stroke and neurology unit

• Maintain patient ratio of 5:1

• Work with remote telemetry equipment

• Use Meditech electronic medical record system

• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 3 techs, and 1 unit secretary at max capacity

• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 1 tech, and 1 unit secretary at max capacity

• BLS certification required

• NIH Stroke certification preferred

• ACLS certification preferred

• Must demonstrate upbeat, engaged, and compassionate personality

• Navy scrubs required

• Work on general medical surgical floor handling stroke and neurology cases

• 2 positions available out of 6 total
