American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 2+ years of hospital setting experience for an inpatient rehab unit.
Requirements- Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital setting required
- Inpatient rehab experience preferred
- Experience with stroke evaluation and treatment preferred
- Skilled in manual therapy for neuro re-education, therapeutic exercise, functional activity, neuromuscular re-education, self-care training, and functional e-stim
- License required if applicable
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
- Inpatient Rehab Therapy unit with 44 beds and a 4:1 patient ratio
- Unit staffed by 10 OT/PT teams, 3 speech therapists, and 1 tech
- Equipment used includes Sara Lifts, ceiling lifts, Bioness, and Diego
- Documentation performed in Meditech Expanse
- Monday-Friday schedule with 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, with rotating weekends
- May float to acute hospital if rehab census is low
- Unit holds Joint Commission Stroke Certification
- Uses AIDET communication framework and emphasizes immediate service recovery for patient experience
- Dress code preference of black scrub bottoms and royal blue top
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
