Overview
Valet Attendants work directly with VA patients and visitors by providing valet parking services and assistance as needed at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). They provide safe, high quality, VIP customer service to promote overall valet parking customer satisfaction for the VAMC.
Responsibilities- Assist Veteran patients who request help with exiting or entering their vehicle.
- If requested on arrival, obtain a VA provided wheelchair or remove the VA patient’s wheelchair from the vehicle; assist VA patients in/out of wheelchairs as requested; load the wheelchair into the vehicle; return wheelchairs to the designated storage location.
- Monitor valet parking areas to ensure only valet vehicles are parked in valet areas; direct non-authorized visitors to appropriate parking areas; provide self-parking directions to visitors, employees, and vendors; provide local travel directions and general information about VAMC facilities.
- Provide valet parking traffic control to ensure vehicles entering the staging area do not block traffic; report suspicious persons, behaviors, or activity to the on‑duty Valet Manager and, if appropriate, to VA Police or local law enforcement.
- Remove dropped-off valet vehicles from staging area within ten (10) minutes of arrival and retrieve valet parked vehicles within ten (10) minutes of the customer request.
- Safely park and retrieve valet‑parking eligible vehicles; ensure cleanliness and safety of valet staging and parking areas; monitor and report to the on‑duty Valet Manager any violators or potential incidents.
- Provide accurate and timely documentation; complete all required Valet Attendant activity reports.
- Provide instructions to valet drivers on how to check and claim their vehicles; manage valet drop-off/pick-up procedures.
- Initiate the three-part valet parking ticket as a claim check: part one – provide to the VA patient as proof of a valet parked vehicle; part two – annotate date/time, vehicle description, any visible damage (driver signs if possible) and place ticket on dashboard; part three – record location, date, and time, attach keys, and return to the Greeter/Valet Manager/Assistant Manager for secure storage.
- When retrieving a vehicle, ensure part two is removed from the dashboard and the return date/time is annotated; if the driver refuses to sign damage acknowledgement, both the Valet Attendant and on‑duty Valet Manager sign the second portion and note refusal to acknowledge damage to protect the parties involved.
- When a vehicle driver cannot provide a claim ticket, notify the VA Police to resolve release; all vehicles released by VA Police without a claim ticket will be noted in a weekly valet services report.
Under no circumstances will any Seventh Dimension, LLC employee accept tips or gifts for their services. Employees who are discovered accepting gratuities will be evaluated, counseled, and may be terminated at the company’s discretion.

- High School diploma
- Valid state driver’s license
- Clean driver’s license
The position requires typical office/field duties: speaking, listening, and writing; standing, walking, and the ability to reach with hands and arms; occasional lifting up to 25 pounds; vision requirements include close and distance vision. The noise level is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions.
