Overnight Auditor – The Westin Richmond – 2019 Rated AAA Four Diamond Hotel
Be the “face” of the hotel as the Overnight Auditor, greeting guests upon arrival and wishing them a fond farewell. You will manage front‑desk operations, act as Manager on Duty during the overnight shift, and perform all night‑audit responsibilities with professionalism and independence.
The position is for a part‑time Friday & Saturday overnight auditor.
Essential Functions- Perform all front‑desk job duties.
- Reconcile and complete all daily front‑desk and outlet work.
- Verify direct‑bill rooms are set up properly.
- Make necessary adjustments to house accounts.
- Execute the property‑management‑system night audit to close the day.
- Run and distribute reports.
- Key sales into MDR program for corporate reporting.
- Process credit cards and send batch to the bank.
- Communicate regularly with accounting to resolve balancing issues.
- Handle guest complaints or urgent situations as Manager on Duty.
- Communicate with the Front Office Manager regarding agent errors or retraining needs.
- Know all emergency procedures.
Regular attendance in accordance with the hotel’s standards is essential. Employees with irregular attendance may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination. Varying schedules may be required to reflect business needs. Attendance at training sessions and meetings is mandatory. Compliance with hotel rules and regulations is required for safe operation.
Specific Job Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency in spoken, read, and written primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional computational ability.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Stand and walk for up to 8 hours.
- Work overnight hours.
- Perform tasks requiring bending, squatting, lifting 20–50 lb.
- Occasional lifting of up to 250 lb., pushing or pulling carts.
- Operate equipment with manual dexterity.
- Wear radio and earpiece during shift.
Education: High school or equivalent education required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: Two to four years in Front Office/Housekeeping/Guest Services, with at least two years of Night Auditor experience preferred.
