Our Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Modeling and Advanced Data Insights team is modernizing the way the company identifies potential money laundering, terrorist financing, and human trafficking through advanced analytics, statistics, and machine learning models.

The Model Development team builds and maintains suspicious activity monitoring models for the Retail Bank line of business. The Data Analyst will work cross‑functionally with analysts to assess risk, develop models, and deliver insights using AWS, Snowflake, Python, Spark, and SQL.

  Use open‑source and digital technologies to mine complex, voluminous data; build well‑managed data solutions and tools to enable self‑service frameworks.
• Business Intelligence
  :
  Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into dashboards and data visualizations; drive analysis that informs business strategy.
• Data Management
  :
  Maintain data quality, metadata lineage, and governance; collaborate with technology teams on security and data access; monitor and report on data quality.

• Degree in a STEM discipline.
• Experience with Python, R, Spark, and SQL scripting.
• Hands‑on experience with data warehouses (SQL), unstructured data, and Snowflake services.

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field and at least 2 years of data analytics experience, or a Master’s degree with the expectation of completion before the start date.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with a scripting language and with business‑intelligence visualization tools.
• Minimum 1 year of experience querying, analyzing, and working with data platforms.

• Master’s degree in a STEM discipline.
• At least 2 years of coding experience in Python, R, Spark, or SQL.
• 2+ years of experience with Agile or Lean process improvement methodologies.
• 1+ year of experience with AWS services.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality management concepts, and data quality tools such as Informatica DQ.

• Richmond, VA: $99,100 – $113,100
