Technical data analyst who will assist in launching support services for end user experiences, migrating data models and dashboards into a new AWS technology stack using R, Pyspark, Databricks, Starburst, Gitlab, Immuta, Collibra, Alteryx, and Tableau. Support debugging Databricks models and assist their conversion from R to PyScript or PySpark.

Essential Responsibilities:- This is a hands‑on role. Applicants should not be managers or architects.
- Provide primary technical support to the end user community for problems related to software, data issues, data communication and processing errors.
- Monitor application, production, and/or implementation support, both technical and user, for new releases.
- Consult on application testing strategies, document observations, and coordinate responses.
- Maintain project and application information, including schedule, system scope, requirements, and other pertinent documentation. Recommend process improvements to management and coordinate information flow between business owners and development staff. Coordinate tasks, functional reviews, and application development sessions between development sites and technical work groups to ensure timely execution.
- Document end‑user interactions in automated call‑logging tools for tracking and productivity purposes.
- Validate proposed technical approaches to system or application problem logs and offer recommendations for mediation to management.
Requirements:
- Specific skill mixes needed:
Databricks AND (R or sparklyr) OR (Pyspark or Python) - Databricks AND (Starburst OR Tableau)
- Databricks AND (Collibra OR Alteryx)
Hands‑on experience for the following:
- Databricks – Pyspark, Data Quality Framework, building custom dashboards
- R/Sparkly
R – as a data analyst - Pyspark/Python – scripting and automation, performance tuning and debugging
- Starburst – as a data analyst or Starburst developer or support engineer
- Collibra – as a Collibra developer or support engineer
- Alteryx – as a developer or support engineer
- Tableau – as a developer with performance tuning/debug capabilities
- Immuta – as a security analyst; must have good role‑based and attribute‑based security knowledge
- Ability to perform independent research and develop creative work products and proposals
- Demonstrated creativity in addressing problems/issues and opportunities
- Customer‑service orientation
- Effective work in a highly matrix or virtual organization
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present/facilitate training sessions
- Strong experience in Agile delivery, requirements engineering, backlog development and refinement
- Strong stakeholder engagement experience
- Experience with distributed teams and software solution providers
- Broad knowledge of application and data modelling techniques to identify root‑cause issues and appropriate solutions
- Experience with Agile environment/SAFe and tools like Jira
- Excellent analytical and design skills
- CBAP, Agile Analysis Certification or similar preferred
- Must be willing to be on call periodically from 8am‑2pm ET or 2pm‑8pm ET, Monday‑Friday
qualifications:
Experience and proficiency in R, PySpark, Databricks, Starburst, Git Lab, and AWS are required. Responsibilities include debugging Databricks models and assisting in their conversion from R to PyScript or PySpark. Experience with Immuta, Collibra, Alteryx, Tableau, Grafana, and Service Now is a plus. The role also involves technical troubleshooting of highly complex integrated systems, including diagnostics, root‑cause identification, solution implementation, and maintaining rigorous documentation via Jira.
