TECHNAMO is a Tier-I Contractor to provide IT Services to the Virginia government agencies (70+ entities) and contracted to provide services to state government agencies in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Delaware, and Maryland.

This position will provide project management for medium to major IT projects. This is a hybrid telework position. Will be asked to come into the office as needed. Active PMP cert required.

DAY-TO-DAY:
Prepare documentation, obtain approval, and track all changes in project scope. Communicate project changes and events to concerned parties.
Manage communication and coordination between internal contributors and stakeholders, as well as 3rd-party vendor partners.
Manage multiple projects throughout the project lifetime to ensure success as defined by adherence to scope, budget, and timeline.
Responsible for all aspects of project management keeping projects on time, within budget, and within scope.
Provides timely status reports to reflect project status, issues, and risks.
The position consults with the project team on all aspects of project management and ensures compliance with Commonwealth project management policies, standards, and guidelines.

Required skills:

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with various project management methodologies are required – 6 years.
• Experience in the planning and implementation of medium to major information technology projects is required – 6 years.
• Experience in the use of Planview Enterprise 1 or similar Portfolio and Project Management tools is required – 4 years.
• Coordinating internal resources and third-party vendors for execution of projects – 4 years.
• Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science or a related subject) – Required.
• Strong communications skills; written, presentation, and oral is required – Required.
• Certified Project Manager by PMI OR VITA PM Certification is required – Required.
• Experience working as a Project Manager in a Commonwealth of Virginia Executive Branch Agency (ies) – Highly desired 2 years.
