CMDB Analyst

Job Duties

• Create, update, and maintain Configuration Item records in the CMDB
• Update and maintain CI relationships
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure accuracy and integrity of the CMDB
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Create CMDB dashboards in Service Now based on out-of-the-box capabilities
• Generate standard and ad-hoc reports, applying skill, judgment, and understanding of operational information and needs
• Execute queries to download data from multiple source systems to create reports according to customer specifications
• Deliver regular reporting and assist team leadership with analysis by mining, cleaning, or aggregating data
• Maintain existing reporting and dashboards
• Handle incoming ad-hoc analyses, data requests, and other questions from key stakeholders
• Keep documentation on updates or changes to data sources, reporting, or any other analysis
• Review reports to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• Deep expertise with Service Now and Configuration Management
• At least 2 years experience in Service Now and CMDB
• Familiarity with Asset Management Lifecycle processes and workflow
• Strong customer focus with a passion for providing internal and external customers with responsive, high quality results
• Experience gathering information from multiple data sources using a variety of tools
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Effective communicator – verbal & written, formal & informal

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or Information Systems
• Familiar with Service Now
• High level understanding of hardware and software asset discovery tools and processes
• Insurance industry experience, preferably exposure in life or long-term care insurance
