Senior Programmer Analyst (Data Engineer / Architect) – 12‑Month Contract

Required Skills

• Excellent communication skills – must collaborate with stakeholders

• Experience with Snowflake cloud data warehouse (preferred)

• Experience in real‑time streaming technologies (preferred)

• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) (big plus)
• Knowledge of Denodo tool (plus)

High‑Level Project Overview & Responsibilities

• Define the data architecture vision aligned with business goals
• Establish data standards, policies, and governance frameworks
• Provide technical guidance to development teams
• Communicate data architecture decisions to executives and non‑technical teams
• Design, develop, and maintain secure, consistent, and reliable ETL solutions supporting critical business processes across various business units
• Develop and perform tests and validate data flows, preparing ETL processes to meet complex business requirements, including designing and implementing end‑to‑end solutions using BI platforms
• Partner with infrastructure, application, and architecture teams to generate process designs and complex transformations, providing the business with insights into business processes
• Assist production support team in resolving production job failures, data issues, and performance tuning

Required Years of Experience

• 5+ years as a data engineer or architect
• Minimum 5 years experience with Talend, Informatica, or similar ETL tools
• Minimum 5 years experience in SQL, stored procedures, and table design
• Minimum 5 years experience in SQL query optimization and ETL data‑loading performance

Education

Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalency (Required)

Industry Experience Desired

• Information Technology, business/technology consulting firm, or utility business group
• IT experience in large‑scale environments across multiple hardware and software platforms
• Experience working closely with IT in development and implementation of large‑scale systems

Pay Range

$68‑$72/hr – W2
