Senior Desktop Support Technician

Data Staff Inc. is seeking a Senior Desktop Support Technician for a long-term contract opportunity on‑site in Richmond, VA
.

• Responding to queries on the phone, via email, in person, or through remote access.
• Offering technical assistance on the delivery, configuration, setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer systems, hardware, and software.
• Training other staff on troubleshooting and diagnosing problems.
• Writing and editing documentation about troubleshooting and diagnosing problems.
• Gathering feedback from customers to improve training methods.
• Writing and editing training manuals.
• Running reports and analyzing common complaints and problems.
• Troubleshooting VPN, networking, and ISP issues.

• 6 years of strong working knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software, including drivers and BIOS.
• 4 years of excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and team‑working skills.
• 4 years of excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• 4 years of demonstrated ability to obtain feedback from customers to improve training methods.
• 4 years of experience writing and editing training manuals.
• 4 years of experience running reports and analyzing common complaints and problems.
• 4 years of openness to learning new technologies.
