A day in the life…
- Develop and maintain data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) to align with business and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts and data engineers, to understand data needs.
- Define data modeling standards and best practices, ensuring consistency across systems.
- Optimize database structures for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with governance policies.
- Work with ETL developers to ensure seamless integration of data across different systems.
- Perform data profiling, lineage analysis, and impact assessments for new projects.
- Document metadata, relationships, and business rules in data dictionaries.
What we are looking for…
Required
- Proficiency in data modeling tools (Erwin, IBM Data Architect, etc.).
- Strong SQL skills and knowledge of relational and No
SQL databases. - Experience with data warehousing and BI tools.
- Understanding of normalization, denormalization, indexing, and partitioning.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, etc.).
