We are looking for a dynamic, detail‑oriented Cyber Security Analyst to perform security event and incident investigations within our CSOC operations. You will work in a historic downtown Richmond location and support an existing and mature Cyber Security environment.

Responsibilities include:

• A proven track record in working with common security tools.
• Perform security event and incident investigations.
• Work with endpoint security, SIEM, IDS, network protocol analyzer, open‑source intelligence, and incident response platforms.
• Perform continuous network monitoring and response.
• Experience with commercial SIEM products including reporting, rule creation, false‑positive tuning, and threat feed integration.
• Ability to read and understand packet captures.

Cyber Security Analyst
Must possess 3‑5 years of work experience in cyber security or a related role, demonstrating an intermediate understanding of identifying, gathering, and analyzing threats to investigate and mitigate security risks or related IT networking experience (firewalls, CISCO, etc.). CSOC‑related SIEM experience is required. (A Master’s degree will count as one year of experience; a partial year of six months or more will be rounded up to one year).

Senior Cyber Security Analyst
Must possess 5 years of work experience in cyber security or a related role, demonstrating a basic understanding of identifying, gathering, and analyzing threats to investigate and mitigate security risks or related IT networking experience (firewalls, CISCO, etc.). CSOC‑related SIEM experience is required. (A Master’s degree will count as one year of experience; a partial year of six months or more will be rounded up to one year).

• Demonstrates an understanding of cyber security and data system protection principles and practices.
• Understanding of industrial cyber security standards and risk is desired. Good organization and planning skills.
• Questioning attitude with basic analytical and investigative skills.
• Verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with others.
• Willingness to learn new skills, conduct research, and maintain hardware, software, and network firewalls and encryption.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a teamed environment.
• Highly motivated, with the ability to work effectively under basic supervision in a fast‑paced environment.
• Previous work experience or exposure to security aspects governing software, communications, and network protocols is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education.

Preferred Discipline(s):
Computer Science;
Engineering;
Information Systems;
Information Systems Security.

Preferred:
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP); GSEC, GCED, GCIH, GICSP, GCFE, GCFA.

Office work environment 76‑100% travel up to 25%.
