Description :

Design, implement, and maintain scalable technology assets leveraging AWS cloud technologies. Provide end user support, system administration and problem resolution in our mixed Windows Server environment (Server 2016, Server 2019, Server 2022).

The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) Developmental Services Office of Information Services and Technology (IS&T) is seeking Cloud Engineer with intermediate expertise in solution development within a modern cloud-based ecosystem. The successful candidate will design, implement, and maintain scalable technology assets leveraging AWS cloud technologies using our approved tool stack. Provide end user support, system administration and problem resolution in our mixed Windows Server environment (Server 2016, Server 2019, Server 2022).

The role involves hands‑on solution engineering specifically on the AWS cloud platform, designing APIs, automating cloud infrastructure provisioning, implementing security best practices, and applying Dev Ops methodologies to streamline development and deployment processes.

Additional responsibilities include:

Implementing and maintaining full‑stack cloud‑native solutions on AWS cloud platform.

Building responsive and user‑friendly front‑end applications using React, Node.js, and Type Script.

Leverage native cloud services to design, develop, and maintain cloud‑based solutions.

Develop and maintain APIs tailored for cloud environments leveraging AWS API Gateway.

Implement cloud networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, and security groups.

Adopt cloud security best practices, including IAM.

Implement serverless computing and event‑driven architecture using AWS Lambda and AWS Dynamo

DB for flexible data storage.

Automate cloud infrastructure management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS Cloud Formation, AWS SAM, and Terraform.

Script and automate tasks using Python.

Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting for cloud infrastructure using AWS Cloud Watch and Cloud Trail.

Optimize deployment pipelines for Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) using AWS Code Build, Code Deploy, and Code Pipeline.

Collaborate with senior team members and business owners to deliver robust cloud‑based solutions that improve the customer experience.

Assist in designing scalable and resilient cloud engineering solutions aligned with business needs.

Ensure comprehensive testing, security compliance, and operational stability of solutions.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation.

Contribute to research and development initiatives and participate in technology skill enhancement programs.

Experience in Microsoft server and network administration to include end user and vendor support in these areas.

Proficient use of personal computers, ability to analyze data, document procedures, resolve technical issues, prepare reports, provide desktop system support for users having a broad range of technical knowledge and capability.

Operational and administrative experience with Windows Servers and various SAAS environments.

Qualifications:

Intermediate proficiency specifically with the AWS Cloud Platform and familiarity with standard software engineering industry best practices.

Strong experience implementing full‑stack web applications leveraging React, Node.js, Type Script on the front‑end, and implementing serverless back‑end APIs leveraging AWS Lambda and No
