As a Manager in Cyber Threat Intelligence, you will collect, analyze, and integrate cyber intelligence information to lead the international cyber risk initiative. In this role, you will develop and lead innovative, data-driven solutions that strengthen Capital One’s security posture and reduce operational risk. You will thrive working cross-functionally and understand how to produce intelligence products to support business requirements and proactively identify areas for collaboration.

We are looking for a candidate experienced in intelligence trade‑craft with excellent communication skills, to include writing for diverse audiences, formulating intelligence products, and optimizing collection workflows.

Responsibilities
  • Drive and coordinate work related to Capital One’s international cyber risk function, working with a broad range of partners to ensure effective collaboration within the team and across stakeholder groups
  • Monitor emerging cyber threats and potential implications to the firm
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis on cyber risks to inform enterprise decisions concerning international operations and risk reduction
  • Apply strong analytic trade‑craft, connecting the dots between diverse information sources, using strong judgment to formulate assessments, and integrating the intelligence information into enterprise workflows
  • Demonstrate skills in writing, reviewing and editing cyber intelligence assessment products from multiple sources
  • Evaluate, analyze, and synthesize large quantities of data into high quality, fused targeting and intelligence products
  • Present complex data analysis concepts to diverse audiences in technical and non-technical areas in clear and concise terms and lead stakeholder decision-making forums
  • Analyze multiple data sources, define operational problems, and refine models and frameworks for validation and problem solving
  • Stay current on the changing regulatory environment and understand the impacts to our international cyber risk analysis
  • Write and revise documents such as policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines. Develop and enhance processes, tools, templates, and job aides. Draft and deliver presentations for leadership and stakeholders
About You
  • You have a desire to work in a fast moving, forward leaning, and modern computing environment
  • You are a demonstrated leader with team-oriented interpersonal skills and the ability to interface effectively with a broad range of people and roles, including upper management, IT leaders, and technology vendors
  • You are able to work well under minimal supervision
  • You are able to tailor communications and analysis to the intended audience
  • You maintain calmness and clarity of thought under pressure and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • You have a strong desire to continually learn about new technologies
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 4 years of experience in Information Security
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in intelligence analysis or intelligence operations
  • 5+ years of experience in cyber intelligence, operations, or risk management
  • 3+ years of experience working with data analytics and visualization tools (Databricks, Elastic, Snowflake, Splunk, Tableau, or Quicksight)
