Aboutthe role
This role offers the chance to excel as a pre‑sales professional, working with cutting‑edge software solutions. You will collaborate with partner account managers throughout the sales lifecycle of our Elements/Channel business, delivering technical presentations and providing pre‑sales support to partners and customers. Continuous training and mentorship are provided to support your journey to success as a sales engineer.
Responsibilities- Present and demonstrate AvePoint’s product offerings relevant to partners and customers remotely and on‑site.
- Facilitate Solution Discovery, Solution Overview, and Technical Deep Dive sessions.
- Communicate with prospective partners/customers, guiding them through evaluation and selection.
- Build environments tailored for Proof of Concept to illustrate product capabilities.
- Participate in writing proposals for RFIs/RFPs showcasing product value.
- Collaborate with partners to develop joint go‑to‑market strategies and initiatives.
- Assist partners in pre‑sales activities, including solution and technical demonstrations.
- Share product and market information with sales and technical teams.
- Help the sales team align AvePoint technology with partner and customer business objectives.
- Establish relationships with key customer/partner advocates for long‑term solution adoption.
- Develop partner’s buying vision for cost reduction and business agility.
- Support AvePoint Partner and Marketing teams with online and in‑person events (workshops, trade shows, webinars).
- Own technical sales opportunity and partner recruit closure.
- BA/BS in Computer, Technology, Engineering or 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Confident and enthusiastic presentation skills.
- Quick, self‑motivated learner.
- Advanced business and technical communication skills.
- Strategic thinking to help close deals using technical knowledge.
- Understanding of Channel business and ISV partnerships.
- Excellent relationship‑building with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work individually and collaboratively.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Authoritative business analysis capabilities.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with IT professional topics: server and software installation, configuration, administration (Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Dynamics CRM, SharePoint, Microsoft 365 & Azure).
- Understanding of SharePoint architecture and hybrid deployments.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, DHCP.
- Knowledge of SQL Server, IIS, Active Directory.
- Broader knowledge of server and cloud offerings (Office 365, Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) preferred.
Salary Range: $90,000–$130,000 (base only). Total rewards include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, unlimited PTO, and potential bonuses, commissions or equity. Compensation discussions welcome.
