Tier 1 IT Support Specialist – Richmond, VAAs a Tier 1 IT Support Specialist, you will be the single point of contact for information and problem resolution across CoStar Group. You will diagnose and resolve problems with hardware, software, LANs, and servers via telephone, email, remote tools, and hands‑on support. Great customer service, self‑starter, problem solver, and excellent communicator are essential.
Responsibilities- Provide guidance, assistance, and follow‑up on client questions, problems, or malfunctions of all system applications, hardware, and software.
- Participate in telephone support rotation to support users in offices across the US via remote assistance tools.
- Document problems and solutions in the Service Desk ticketing system.
- Inform management of potential problems and identify problem trends.
- Create and maintain computer images.
- Install hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, hard drives, etc.
- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade computer hardware and software.
- Provide video conference administration and support.
- Perform any other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit, in‑person university or college.
- 1+ year of experience in Corporate IT or Service Desk.
- Experience implementing TCP/IP at the workstation level.
- Experience supporting Windows 11 workstations, Macs, Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite, and Windows File Permissions.
- Ability to lift/move equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Office 365 administrative experience.
- Experience supporting mobile devices such as iPads, iPhones, etc.
