Application Support Analyst

Direct Recruit Agency is seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. As an Application Support Analyst, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for our clients' applications.

• USC's only role is hybrid now - 5x/week starting September
• Team coordinates, schedules, and handles disaster recovery. Want someone who is an IT generalist - "knows a little about a lot".
• Experience in IT Disaster Recovery
• MS Office proficiency
• Someone familiar with the Fed and what it does
• Key aspects:
  Planning, coordinating, and executing IT disaster testing between data centers and environments (Cloud, Colo, on-prem)
• Onsite - Richmond
• Team size: 10
• Looking for an 8/1 start, only L1 background required

• Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Tools (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Excel)
• Business Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery experience
• Moderate understanding of IT technology (DB, Middleware, network, Websphere)
• Project management skills for small to medium-sized projects
• Experience in the Agile methodology (JIRA)

• Strong interpersonal skills to include effectively communicating, coordinating, and disseminating detailed information to support IT DR/resiliency across multiple teams and various levels of management and staff within the organization.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills; demonstrated by the ability to assimilate new information, data, and technical details with desired business outcomes, and produce sound analysis and recommendations.
• Strong team player, yet can operate independently
• Strong written communication skills to include developing post-test summaries, customer communications, and process documentation.
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

• Participate in all facets of the planning, coordinating, and supporting IT DR testing, documentation updating, and participating in the daily agile process with JIRA/KANBAN style work.
• 30-60-90 Day Expectation: 30 days learning the ropes, 60 days starting to gain knowledge to shadow a colleague in testing coordination and support, 90 days showing the ability to independently support an IT application failover recovery test.
• Manage and controls the processing of programs and peripheral equipment on mainframe and/or distributed computer systems to ensure the highest levels of service and system availability are attained.
• Establish production runs, ensuring that appropriate job control language, run documentation, and data files are available. Assist in job set-up.
• Perform problem identification, escalation, and resolution.
• Communicate the status of operations to allow for immediate response to service disruptions.
• Provide technical support for various applications, including troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly.
