Position Summary

We are looking for Data Center Technicians to join a rapidly expanding team. This position involves hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair and may include participation in an on-call rotation. All candidates should be willing to work both independently and with a team. Work prioritization, organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to react quickly are critical to being successful.

In addition to break/fix work candidates will install equipment/cables, create documentation, and fix complex problems within the Data Center Space.

• Prepares, stages, sets up, and performs startups and shutdowns (e.g., racks, hard drives, switches) according to specific instructions, checklists, guides, standard protocols, and emails.
• Performs post-execution quality checks and verifies that grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling are set up properly according to safety protocols, deployment standards, and planned Network Design Tasks (NDTs).
• Performs diagnostics and troubleshooting following standard procedures, quickly identifies the cause(s) of issues, and replaces faulty components.
• Decommissions hardware for simple changes and refreshes (e.g., memory upgrades, OS rebuilds) following standard procedures with minimal guidance.
• Follows procedures to communicate, report, and escalate incidents to appropriate Datacenter Technician Leads.

• 1-4 years of experience in data center or server operations
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components
• Must have good networking knowledge
• Experience working as a cable technician, puller, or a warehouse environment
• Basic site setup following documented procedures (safety protocols, deployment standards, and planned Network Design Tasks (NDTs))
• Strong understanding of EHS principles and experience implementing safety programs in technical environments
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Experience with ticketing systems, monitoring tools, and asset management platforms
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $42.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.

This is a fully onsite position in Richmond, VA.

This position is anticipated to close on Oct 1, 2025.
