• Provide consecutive in‑person and virtual (phone and video) first‑person interpretation.
• Follow interpreter protocols and procedures required by Propio L.S. clients.
• Adhere to Propio L.S. policies on information confidentiality and interpreter ethics.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA and/or regulatory requirements.
• Establish and maintain quality service and positive interactions with patients, customers, visitors, health‑care providers and clinical employees.
• Continuously improve vocabulary and specialized subject‑matter knowledge for various client areas such as medical, legal, and social services.

• Submission of an updated resume.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Documentation of updated vaccinations (TB, MMR, Varicella, Hep B or declination, TDAP, seasonal influenza, COVID‑19).
• Successful completion of a drug test and background check & security screen.
• A signed commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and HIPAA compliance.

• 1+ year of interpreting experience.

• National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC)
• International Medical Interpreters Association (IMIA)
• California Healthcare Interpreters Association (CHIA)
