LSA is looking for American Sign Language Interpreters for a client in the Richmond, VA area. LSA network interpreters are independently contracted and can negotiate competitive fees based on experience, professional credentials, and market factors. Interpreters participate in assignments as their schedule allows and are expected to arrive onsite at the time requested by the client.
All interpreters have access to a web-based invoicing platform and 24‑hour coordinator support for assignments, invoicing, and general queries.
LocationTo be considered, you must be in, near, or able to travel to the Richmond, VA area.
AboutThe Role
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree
- RID certification
- Interpreter’s state QA equivalent certification
- Proof of license or registration
- Fluency in English and American Sign Language
- Knowledge of and adherence to the ethics of interpreting
- Experience and comfort working in medical and/or mental health settings
