- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, expert disclosures and other litigation documents.
- Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses and experts; prepare witnesses for deposition and trial testimony.
- Collaborate with partners, senior associates, paralegals and staff to develop case strategy, trial preparation and settlement planning.
- Appear in court hearings, mediations, status conferences, and assist with trial work as assigned.
- Communicate effectively with clients, health‑care providers, insurers and opposing counsel, and keep internal team updated on case status, deadlines and issues.
- Keep abreast of evolving medical‑malpractice law, health‑care regulatory trends, and emerging liability risks in the health‑care sector.

- Approximately 3‑5 years of civil litigation experience (defense side preferred); experience in medical malpractice or health‑care liability strongly preferred. (Candidates with fewer years and strong high‑stakes litigation skills will be considered.)
- Strong legal‑writing, oral‑advocacy and analytical skills—ability to break down complex medical issues into clear legal theories.
- Experience working with medical records, experts and health‑care clients is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters, meet deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Self‑starter attitude, proactive in client service and eager to build deep health‑care litigation experience.
- High standards of professionalism, client focus, and ethical judgment.
- A collegial, collaborative team environment in a firm with strong professional‑liability and health‑care litigation credentials.
- The opportunity for meaningful responsibility early—your work will be seen, valued and developed.
- Competitive compensation and benefits (including health, dental, retirement plan, professional‑development support).
